RE: mpd error malformed utf-8 characters, possibly incorrectly encoded - Tim Curtis - 05-17-2022 Try installing the Chinese fonts. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Multilingual_support_(East_Asian) Code: sudo apt -y install fonts-arphic-ukai fonts-arphic-uming If this works, these plus the Japanese and Korean fonts can be included in upcoming moOde 8.1.0 RE: mpd error malformed utf-8 characters, possibly incorrectly encoded - TheOldPresbyope - 05-17-2022 (05-17-2022, 12:38 PM)Tim Curtis Wrote: Try installing the Chinese fonts. Yes, these font packages work for me to display the Chinese metadata from our sample file in moOde's local display. Note the Chromium browser has to be restarted for the newly installed font to take effect. I simply rebooted. I found last night that installing the xfonts-intl-chinese package did not work despite it seeming intuitively obvious. Regards, Kent RE: mpd error malformed utf-8 characters, possibly incorrectly encoded - Tim Curtis - 05-17-2022 Nice :-) I'll add to the TODO list for 8.1.0 RE: mpd error malformed utf-8 characters, possibly incorrectly encoded - TheOldPresbyope - 05-17-2022 (05-17-2022, 02:30 PM)Tim Curtis Wrote: Nice :-) Since I know nothing about Chinese writing we should probably have @chaos333 check to be sure the glyphs being displayed are correct!
