Airplay vs Spotify Connect? - guermantes - 10-31-2021
Hi,
Are there any pros or cons as to choosing to play Spotify content via Airplay as opposed to over Spotify Connect? I'm thinking gapless, disconnects, or other strange things that might happen.

With Spotify Connect, your moOde player connects to Spotify directly to stream the tracks. With Airplay, your Apple device connects to Spotify to stream the tracks, then re-streams them over Airplay to your moOde player, at least that's how I think it works. I don't use any Airplay devices so can't comment on connection quality/ease of use, but I've never had any issues using Spotify Connect.

I would use Spotify Connect in preference to Airplay. Tha latter, in my experience, is sometimes subject to dropouts and disconnection.
