I can delete files from the Samba server on Windows, but not from Android. - Maverick565 - 11-07-2024

Hi!

As in title, i could delete files on samba server from Windows , but not from Android phone via apps like
Total Commander or Samsung Files.

In Total Commander i get this error:

Here i was added writeable = yes and change mask to 0777 but it won't help.

Hello,

Yes, but without success.

What does
Code:
ls -l
return on the filesystem ?

Files in question are on stored on your attached USB or on NVMe ?

From the log I can see user "moode" doesn't appear to be a valid one...

Note the information displayed just below the SMB File Sharing On/Off switch in moOde's System Config screen

Quote:Server Message Block (SMB) allows files to be shared over a network with Windows, Mac and Linux clients.
Shares: NAS, NVMe, SDCard, Playlists and USB shares are automatically created.
Access: Specify "anonymous" access or userid = guest and no password when mounting shares.
