Hello from Canada! - Mechoption - 11-26-2024 Hello from snowy Canada ![]() My coding skills are the bare minimum, but my trusty Pi 1 running my home internet wifi kept corrupting cards so I've upgraded to Pi Zero 2W and went looking for new software and after failing to get Volumino or Mopidy to work stumbled into MoOde and got it running fairly quickly ![]() I have the basics going with MoOde but am struggling to - Get i2c volume control of my Max9744 amplifier working. Moode was fantastically easy to get audio from the USB adapter but Max9744 isn't on the list for i2c control and I need just volume control, not audio on I2c. (as audio goes from usb adapter to a 3.5 mm jack and then wired to amplifier board). - Play a random song from a folder of folders of a ton of songs without building a fancy database of my music (it spent an hour and never finished, and I don't need a music database anyway). On the plus side Moode was super easy to mount my NAS device. Anyway, I will be plugging away at these challenges and will post in the forums if I get stuck! RE: Hello from Canada! - the_bertrum - 11-27-2024 Welcome to the Forum. Regarding the fancy database, you do need it if you want to play anything from your NAS mounted to moOde. The core of the player is MPD and the core of MPD is the database. A large collection over wifi to a pi zero will take a long time, but once it is done, it is done. |
