Salutations! - Mawson - 03-21-2025

Greetings!

My name is Mawson. I found MoOde randomly while googling SONOS alternatives, and I ordered a Pi Zero W 2 kit the same day!

I'm very much looking forward to trying the software, but alas I'm having trouble getting my Pi to boot, so I'll be posting a help thread shortly.

As for myself, I'm a tech and infrastructure nerd. I'm a low voltage electrician by trade, and an AV enthusiast. I have a ~36U rack that lives right beside my desk and houses all my tech, and I'm using two wall mounted 55" Sony TVs for my computer monitors. Its a heck of a setup! Big Grin

Welcome aboard the Forum!

Nice workspace you've got there but surely not enough clutter yet. If you get serious fooling around with RPis, that will change Big Grin

In the lab I've worked with up to 100Kv systems. Fun, but the worst shocks I've ever had were from badly grounded 110v AC/DC radios back in the 60s. Fortunately, I lived to tell the tales. As my daddy always reminded me, it's the current that kills ya.

Kent

That's a lot of volts. Everything I do for work is under 100v. Data and speakers and such. I'm not a sparky by any means. Maybe a "blinky". I've been trying to come up with a similar name for us data guys haha.
