Cannot stream to spotify - nnila - 04-26-2025
Hi,
I've turned on spotify renderer but cannot seem to connect to it from my devices (phone or laptop).
I can see it in the list but it wont connect when I try.
I've tried a fresh install and still same problem.
This is a brand new rPi 5 4GB. It was working for me previously with no problems with my rPi 3b. Unsure why it now is not working with Pi 5.

Oh yeah - and I've tried changing both the name of the spotify renderer and also the pi name.
Neither made any difference.

Seem to have gotten it working.
Unsure which thing it was as I changed a few but it was either:
* Changed my DNS server
* Put logging out of RAM
* Put on debug
Then started working.
Kept working after I put logging back to RAM.

ssh onto my Pi helped me also when I looked at this file
* /var/log/moode_librespot.log
And realized it was having problems connecting to some spotify site on the web (unsure why it needed to)

Spotify Connect needs to connect to a Spotify "Access Point" to validate the account. These AP servers are Internet based and so your network needs to be able to resolve their addresses.
