Audio serving on a Mac Mini - shoe69 - 06-12-2025 Just started looking into setting up an audio server. I successfully installed volumio os on my 2008 mac mini but I'm interested to see if Mo0de would be a workable on a mac mini. I tried various things (installed Raspberry Pi Desktop for Mac) Created a usb installer of Mo0de using the Raspberry imager but the mac didn't recognize it. Is this even possible? Thanks! RE: Audio serving on a Mac Mini - Tim Curtis - 06-12-2025 The OS used by moode is PiOS Lite which only runs on Raspberry Pi SBC. A lot of our users, myself included run a dedicated Pi for serving audio files and as a multiroom sender. It's just a couple of button clicks to configure moode for this role. That sounds awesome and I'll probably give it a try in the future... but for now I would like to put this old mac mini to use so I'll continue down the volumino route. Thanks for your help! |
