Graphic EQ units? - tristanc - 01-18-2019 Can anyone enlighten me on the graphic eq settings & units used:
Or is there some multiplying factor to provide a +/- 12dB range? I'm trying to transpose an iTunes EQ preset (which happens to even out the response of my system nicely) over to MoOde, and hope there's a way to have the same settings on both. Thanks! RE: Graphic EQ units? - Tim Curtis - 01-19-2019 The Alsaequal UI does not display dB and Ive never been able to find info about the mapping between the 0-100 Alsaequal scale and dB. The EQ plugin defaults to 66 which I assume is "Flat". i ran across this link a few years back but I can't make any sense of it. http://mailman.alsa-project.org/pipermail/alsa-devel/2010-May/027849.html There is also the source code https://github.com/raedwulf/alsaequal -Tim RE: Graphic EQ units? - tristanc - 01-23-2019 (01-19-2019, 02:12 PM)Tim Curtis Wrote: The Alsaequal UI does not display dB and Ive never been able to find info about the mapping between the 0-100 Alsaequal scale and dB. Also, situation will be made easier with 4.5 update as I can switch off the EQ in iTunes etc. T |
