Hi from Switzerland!

Brought my RPi3 with 7” touch screen out of retirement as a MoOde Audio player. Working well with radio sources, but struggling as yet to make a connection to my Synology NAS on which I’ve just set up their Media Server package. Hence my signing up for this forum account!
All the best to you all!

Welcome on board, Avocette.
Had you follow the instruction on SET UP GUIDE, in particular on

- NAS DEVICE

a) Menu, Configure, Library
b) CREATE Music source
c) After SAVE, return to Playback or Library
d) Menu, Update library
e) Wait for completion (no spinner)

Best regards (ciao),
Francesco

Hi, yes, thank you for your post, although I had read this but I found it minimal and perhaps too cryptic at my level of knowledge …….. but that was yesterday, and today my NAS is working perfectly with MoOde!
Actually, I have found that a large number of my Albums don’t display their own cover art, and so default to the basic MoOde one. I think that I have done what is necessary in the NAS Media Server and MoOde library indexing but perhaps I have missed something obvious here?

Hi,

try checking what option is set in "m" => Preferences under "Cover art" "Audio formats". The (i) icon will give you a hint about what formats get searched for.

You could also tell what are the files not showing the album art, and also if those files come from a iTunes collection, and were possibly tagged with it... I remember some such files giving headache when it came to metadata processing...
