How to add local music files to library?
#11
I think ssh would be hard to avoid for boot NVMe drives but if the drive is being used as plain storage it should be possible to easily create mounts via the WebUI w/o any ssh. An auto-mounter could prolly also be implemented with the right UDEV rules and mount script but thats for another dev to take on if interested.

Prolly the mount points would be /mnt/NVME/<disk label> similar to how USB auto-mounts are created. I ordered a base board and drive for testing.

Ahh, good stuff. The symlink was just what I needed to get my system up and running.

I've got a Pimoroni NVMe Base Duo extension board (PCIe Gen 2), fitted with a Samsung 1Tb NVMe SSD.
I'm not sure about the fstab entry shown here I used one based on the SSDs UUID.

Fwiw, I used Kent's suggested name of SSD. And added an extra entry in smb.conf for syncing files.

Regards,
Phil.

Upcoming 9.0.5 includes NVMe mount support for ext4 formatted non-boot drives in Library Config. No SSH required :-)

The feature also provides an NVME samba share point and NFS export.

Excellent, sounds good. Although I did enjoy the challenge of learning how to set up the drive from scratch.
