Turns Out "Protodac TDA1387 X8 (FifoMA)" Named I2S Device is causing the Spotify static sounds if I use the "Protodac TDA1387 X8" I2S Spotify works fine .
Any advice from the Experts greatly appreciated.
Also would like to know if it makes any difference if I use "Protodac TDA1387 X8" vs "Protodac TDA1387 X8(FIFOMA)"

Right, the Ian reclockers are really confusing but as I understand it the fifopima is a Raspberry Pi only reclocker. It uses a feature of the Pi that allows it to operate as a master clock source to the I2S data stream like master mode DAC's for example Allo Boss or Hifiberry Dac Pro that have their own clocks.

IIRC you can use either a master mode DAC or a passive mode DAC like PtotoDAC on top of fifopima but I don't see why you would use a reclocker with a master mode DAC that already has its own clocks right next to the DAC chip which is the ideal position for signal clocks.

I'm not really sure where "ProtoDAC TDA1387 X8 (FifoPiMa)" entry came from. It could be an old Forum thread? The entry loads the hifiberry-dacplus driver which is also used for Hifiberry Dac Pro, a master mode DAC so maybe it was to be selected when running a master mode DAC on top of the fifopima.

If anyone has any insights, go for it :-)
Enjoy the Music!

Found the issue it was the noise isolation copper shield that was touching the FifoPI clock why it was causing the static noise. Im able to use the Protodac (FifoMa) fine now
