A few more details about your configuration would be useful.
Is the screen connected via HDMI or DSI ?

Using your web browser go to the moode configuration menu.
Select peripherals and turn on Display.
Also in the HDMI or DSI section set the rotation you require.

Since the text boot-sequence is the only wrong thing, and that won't affect your graphical experience, yoiu can leave things as they are.
Although a purist as I am, would dig further down to have it working horizontally since boot time... ;-)

So, when you boot your Pi, it comes up in KMS display mode, . That's what is displaying the text lines output scrolling to the console that you see.

Check out the official documentation about configuration for information about setting the resolution and orientation in this mode. Scroll down to the "Set the KMS display mode" secfion. YMMV.

OTOH, the moOde local display runs in the X11 server. That has its own configuration options, as seen in moOde Local Dsiplay configuration panel.

Kent

Hi Fred,

If you want to rotate the scrolling text, follow the instructions linked below to edit the cmdline.txt file.

NOTE: Do not edit the .xinitrc file, thanks to Tim this is now sorted in Moode.

Phil.
