Multiple song selections
#1
I was able to upload a bunch of songs to a folder using the NAS feature and want to make a playlist using them ( currently 156 songs ) how is it possible to do this as a bulk process versus one at a time?

You could for example set the Album tag = "Compilation 1" and the Album Artist tag = "Various Artists" in the tracks then in Tag or Album View click the Album and then "Add to playlist".

Does this mean I need to add that to each song?

If so, then just click and add each one is faster.

These are all songs from a spotify play list that were downloaded in bulk to mp3.

You can do it in bulk too, with an adequate tag editor. Also from the command line and the right tools.

You could also try creating an MPD playlist file from scratch. Take a look at /var/lib/mpd/playlists/Default Playlist.m3u

Code:
pi@moode9:~ $ cat "/var/lib/mpd/playlists/Default Playlist.m3u"
#EXTGENRE:Various
#EXTIMG:local
SDCARD/Stereo Test/LRMonoPhase4.flac
.
.
.
