Display currently selected items ?

Hi,
I think I have seen this somewhere (and the answer was 'no') but, is there a way to see/display any individual tracks/items selected from the Add/Play screen drop-down?
If I select a track from a list of album tracks and save it to a playlist this seems to save all the tracks from the album, not the specific item.
If this has been discussed and answered previously please point me to one of more threads - my searches so far have drawn a blank.

Theres a Preferences setting named "Track play"

For the track list in Tag/Album views this option controls whether the Play and Clear/Play actions add only the selected track to the Queue or the selected track and all following tracks.
Track: Play selected track only.
Track+: Play selected track and all following tracks.

Thank you - that clarifies one issue. My preference is set = Track.
However if I want to see the queue that I might create by using 'Add' (rather than 'add to playlist') - how can I do that?
Is the only way to have the track preference set to Track +, then selecting 'Add to Playlist' and viewing this queue by editing the playlist?

You mean you want to see a list of what will be added before you actually press add?

If so, can't be done at the moment, but you can see the tracks in tag view or with "show tracks" in album view, so you can work it out from there.

You are adding from the track list in Tag or Album view correct? 

If so then the list itself shows whats going to be added to the play Queue. 

If Pref = "Track" then only the single track will be added.
If Pref = "Track+" then the track and all following tracks will be added.
