Solved: Raspberry 7" Touch display
#1
Trying to put together a RPi 3b+ with a Hifiberry dac+ and a Raspberry 7" Touch display.

In the section Peripherals I activated Display and further down DSI display (Pi Touch1/Touch2) I entered "Pi Touch 1" as type on DSI-1 and rotate 180 degrees.

The result was a nice display apparently working properly. Clicking on the "M" in the top right corner showed the proper dropdwon menu. On Clicking "Power" resulted in subsequent menu alternatingly showing and disappearing in high pace, while the home page of the UI remained visible.

I found this page on the internet: https://www.raspberrypi.com/documentatio...splay.html
Discussing the proper setup of subject display.
In this document it states that in the config.txt the line "display_auto_detect=1" should be remove (or commented out) when the line "dtoverlay=vc4-kms-dsi-7inch,invx,invy" is introduced.

Inspecting the config.txt on my setup revealed that the display_auto_detect=1 line was present.
Commenting out the autodtect line resulted in a proper functioning touch display.

Is this a bug or only strange behaviour of my system?

The Moode version is 9.3.2

I'll fix it in the next release after upcoming 9.3.3

But, you will have a much better experience with the Touch 2. Its a night and day improvement over the old, slow, non-square pixel Touch 1.

If it’s the Touch1, then I have had a load of problems (again with a 3B+) from the more recent updates.

However somewhere in the settings is an option to “downgrade” to an older version of  Chromium, and that does seem to work!

Good point :-)

Yes, the DOWNGRADE should definitely be performed!

Thanks for fixing.

The Touch 1 display is an old beast. It was my first encounter with raspberry audio streamers. It was used in combination with a RPi3b and the hifiberry dac+. The streamer was RuneAudio version 0.5a or so. This setup ran instantly and for the last 8+ years in a massage practice with no problems at all. Last week the RPi 3b died on me, and the copy op Runeaudio did, sadly, not go along with the RPi3b+. With the new setup with MoOde my wife is happy again.

The chromium is already downgraded, as that option is greyed oud.
