Deezer to shut down Deezer Connect – plea to keep it alive

is there anyone who can review the functionality on android please?

Since you asked, Francesco, I just now downloaded the Deezer app from the Google Play Store to my Android Pixel 6a, The app is version 10.37.1 and it does NOT offer the Remote Control setting under Deezer Lab (only a Podcast speed-control feature).

The Deezer app on my iPad is version 8.0.38.4 and does offer the setting. I've had this version on my iPaf for some time so @roderickvds remark "I don't know for how long" would seem to apply.

I have no interest in using my phone to control my music, so this isn't an immediate crisis for me, but it illustrates how vulnerable we are to the whims of the rent seekers (an economics term) in the streaming music services business. I'm still thinking I'm going to let my Deezer account expire.

Interesting.

I think I’ll be a tail-end Charlie on this one. If and when they restore Remote Control as a first-class feature to production releases of their apps, I’ll reconsider them. Meantime, I can use that subscription fee to restore my Qobuz account when you start fielding beta versions of your as-yet unnamed Qobuz Connect.
