So got into the forum - after having used Moode audio for playback on RPi zero/zero2 devices.
I had an issue where _audioout was not set correcly to my dsp HAT board (https://poolsidefactory.com/products/air...-connector)
I seem to have fixed it now - so radio and spotify works.
This player is running on top of an Apple HiFi with dock connector, which can send commands through a serial connection (from IR remote) and I did look into implementing something for controlling moode playback through that.. maybe I'll pick it up again.

I'm using an Apple Ipod Hifi (like pictured in the link above) that I picked up for cheap. And I attached a i2c oled display that works with mpd_oled. I have a crude case built for rpi/dac w/display.. probably soon to be replaced with something from a newly aquired 3d printer.
