9.3.3 mobile portrait improvements.
#1
Posting in general discussion rather than support because nothing is "wrong" per-se.

The mobile portrait layout in 9.3.3 does look very neat and modern but, there is now no instance of the accent colour anywhere in that view.  Different accent colours is one of the cues I use to tell me which of my three players I'm controlling, so it is useful to have at least something showing the accent colour.
Any one else have an opinion?  How about the "m" menu button since that's a smallish element and wouldn't affect the clean look so much?

Interesting idea.

I'd have to see an example to know whether it would matter to me with my age-long minor colorblindness in a certain spectral range and my growing cataracts! At least my ears still allow me to enjoy the music from my moOde players.

Growing old has its disadvantages but you have to be alive to be aware of them Tongue

The challenge with accent color text on small mobile screens is that it becomes hard to see clearly depending on the background, and there's really no good place in the WebUI to display the player name.

I agree that a player cue would be useful though. Needs some thought.

Obviously, I also use a different theme on each player so the accent isn't the only differentiator, just I got used to "green accent is the kitchen".  Is the plan to remove the accent from the track name in the landscape view as well eventually?

All the other views stay the same with respect to color. It's only mobile portrait that gets a bit of a style change to make it easier to read.

It still strikes me as odd that there is nothing now with the accent colour. I can satisfy myself by opening the volume wheel I suppose Smile. It doesn't seem to have bothered anyone else.
I also notice a slight rounding of album art/station logo corners which is nice, did that slip in on this release as well, or have I just been un-observant until now?

Hello, I also use accent color to differentiate my 4 players, the "m" sounds like a good idea

Yes, cover images have more radius on the corners. It's easier on the eyes compared to the sharp corners.

Other improvements to mobile portrait:
- More margin top and sides (better overall layout)
- Thicker time track with no thumb button (easier to drag)
- Combined "Artist - Album" line (no separate line for Album)
- Track title uses Theme text color instead of Accent color (easier to read)

There are still a few minor bugs resulting from the changes but I'll fix them in upcoming 9.3.4 :-)

Yes, we need some way to easily identify the player in mobile portrait. The "m" might work. There are also a couple other options. I'll post some mock-ups at some point.
