Problem: Library Regeneration Issue
#1
Hi All,

I have Moode 9.3.7 running on an Rpi 5. For the music files, I'm using a 2TB MVMe SSD formatted in Ext4 on a dedicated Pi shield with a bus connection via ribbon cable. It has been working just fine, and is blazing fast, but it is refusing to update or regenerate the library after I added more files to the drive (I think it's about 1.4 TB of FLAC files).

The NVMe SSD shows as mounted in "system." It plays plays just fine, and I can see the drive and folders on the main page. Sometime during one attempt at updating, folders A–F disappeared, and only G and beyond show up. These have none of the new tracks, however, so have not successfully updated.

I can select "update" or "regenerate," but the spinner only shows for a few seconds to maybe a minute. The update panel shows up and stays visible forever. I have to close it manually.

I have, as was suggested in another thread, cleared the tag cache and re-opened the browser page, with no effect.

When I checked on a system update, it tells me I'm on the current version, although I thought 9.3.8 was available.

BTW, I have about a 4 amp linear power supply running through a low-noise filter with ultra caps. Since it's still working--after a fashion--I don't think it's a power problem.

I have had several versions of a Moode player, with many different Pi's, DACs, power supplies, drive types and OS's, and in my experience, the library database has been the buggiest part of the whole thing.

Thoughts, anyone?

So your existing files + added files on the "1.4 TB of FLAC files" is 50K files?

1.39 TB. I can't see the total number of files, but based on one folder, the math comes to just shy of 30k files.

To count your files:
find  your-file-location -name *.flac | wc -l

I added up all the folders and got a total of 66,117 files.
