I did find an album of mine that has multiple artists in several of its tracks and I definately would want to see them listed because thats how the album was released. Just showing the album artist would have each track showing "Lee Ritenour" as the artist which is not correct.
Based on that I'm not seeing a good case for making a new option that controls what appears as the "artist" in the track list.
Hi, and thank you again.
I have checked my preferences and it is setup just like you. I mean artist column: Artist album.
I the other hand, i understand your point, but I feel i'm not able to explain mine.
I my case, we are not talking about a multiple artists tracks. it is a mess that mix up the name of the group, the name of individuals, and every info that musicbrainz has listed on my tracks. And, what, for me, is the worst, it is not consistent with one and other.
I can solve it, removing the info i don't want to see. I'm aware that the issue is on my library.
I assume that is the only way is retag everything. But i don't have this issue on Navidrome. it show album artist and, when it is a track with multiple artists, it show it, without showing all the other info. That was I was asking. Obviously, Navidrome is Navidrome and MoOde is MoOde.
Thanks, anyways, i have understand how MoOde manage tags. It puts all the info in all the tags related with artists in the artist track, mixed, and i have understand the only way to tweak: delete all the info i don't want to see. Which means i have to retag all my library, again. The issue is on my library which has too much info (for my needs, obviously) I understand most people like it, but i don't see the point to have all the artists of a group listed, alongside the name of the group, in a track tag view. whith a proper tag system, maybe, I can even like it, if i manage to make it consistent.
Thank you so much.
By my side, the issue can be closed.
