So I'm trying to connect to my music folder on my NAS, and MoOde doesn't seem to like the idea...
I'm getting mount errors left and right. My credentials are correct. I've tried via discovery and manually setting the ip, but still no love. I'm also not seeing the "NAS" option listed in Library consistently. Sometimes it shows up, along with NVME, USB, etc. But they all quickly disappear.

Don't include "smb:" as part of the path. That's a protocol specification not part of a hostname.
Enter just "192.168.1.154/Music" as the Path. [Here I assume your Samba server is publishing a share named "Music". If not, adjust accordingly.]
Without more information, I can't say why using the SCAN feature didn't work for you. it should have.
Similarly, more information would be needed to understand the statement

First things first, try mounting a share manually using the correct path specification.
