Having a similar issue as well after updating...
I have 3 systems in the house, one on a Pi-Zero 2W, One 3B and one 3B+...
After updating to the newest Moode Version, the two 3B pi's stall at the same spot of my library and will spin forever trying to update (ran for over 12 hours and still no progress) --
The funny thing is the Pi-Zero 2W updated fine...
when I check, I notice the Pi 2W shows:

...the same Moode version but different MPD and RaspiOS versions... the Pi Zero works fine, the others stalling...
The info for the 2W indicates the update did not complete successfully since its still at the old version of MPD.
You stated "the two 3B pi's stall at the same spot of my library". Were you able to identify the file that was being processed by MPD update at this point?
