Pi4 + gpio cable

I see there have been some comments about the Pi4 being noisy.
I came across a Youtube vid a while back where the presenter added a gpio cable between the Pi and DAC hat to get some distance.

Has anyone tried this?

I had the same Idea. To seperate the Pi and the DAC, and shield all components. But i have also a Stack of Filters between them (3 Boards. On Top is a Board with solid, ceramics and Tantal Capacitors, anderneath that is a Board with small SuperCapacitors and underneath that is a Shielded board with Capacitors, all shielded under a casing). So there is also no Power direct on the Pi, it comes from the Filter Stack (from the Board in the middle, with the SuperCaps), i have Cables between The Filter Stack, the Pi and the DAC. The Cable for the DAC goes outside so it is easy possible to change the DAC without opening the Case of the Streamer. But i don`t have a lot of experience so i can`t say if this is better. But a good Power Source is always good in combination with Audio Equipment.
Actually the DAC sits in its enclosure on Top of it, with a Toslink connection to my R2R DAC with linear Power Supply to my Headphone Amp with also a linear Power Supply. I am still testing and configuring the System to my needs, and there are only Headphones direct connected to the DAC in this Setup.
