[SOLVED] RPi built in soundcard & HDMI display

I did ask 'can I assume that a DAC HAT will be compatible with Moode as an alternative to a USB - 3.5mm jack adapter'

I can now answer my own question having, impatiently, installed one - Raspberry Pi DAC+ - and the answer appears to be - no, Moode does not recognize it. Can anyone suggest a way to get Moode to detect it?
