I have a somewhat similar issue, though with the I2S DAC. My Pi zero 2W running the latest version of moode has been configured by me to use the generic i2s dac for routing sound from the connected PCM5012a dac. My device is powered off and on a lot. Occasionally the audio output device changes back to HDMI. Is there a fix for this? Chat GPT says that this could happen if the audio device is not detected at boot. Word from the pros?
