Chasing out 'Regenerate Database' problem issues

Hi,
I have a similar issue; the library regeneration/update keep on going even if all the tracks are found. 
The real annoying problem is that every time I turned off and than on my system, the library is lost, and I have to recreate it from scratch. 
I tried to update the MPD to 0.24.2 or even 0.24.3 version but I still have the issue.

First off, since the OP solved his problem, this thread is essentially complete. As a matter of Forum etiquette you should start a thread of your own.

As for your problem, you haven't given us any information we can work with. The symptom "every time I turned off and than on my system, the library is lost" isn't typical. I have never seen it on any of the moOde players I spin up either for listening or for testing.

At a minimum, you should follow Tim's usual request to post your startup log. Here I quote a recent post of his

Reboot and then post the entire contents of the startup log.

The log can be viewed via the SSH command moodeutl -l or downloaded via the Logs section in System Config, or via Menu, System info from any of the Config screens. The startup log will be at the end of System info output.

Also, if the library spinner doesn't stop you should post the last 10 or so lines from your MPD log as the OP of this thread did.

The boot seems ok from my understanding; still the library is lost and I have to regenerate it. The generation keep on going even if all the files were populated.

that's exactly my problem, even after a day the library update doesn't complete, and when I reboot the system the library is gone.

Is there a way to force the stop to library update?

Those are file format and tagging errors reported by the thumbnail generator. It did complete though.

I'd look in the MPD log to see of there are any errors and to determine if possible what the last file was that it successfully processed.

Best way to get a clean MPD log is to first clear it then REGENERATE the music database (Library Config)

Hi thanks for the answer. 

I fixed some of the issues I spotted in the logfile about the tags of the files in the library, and then I regenerated the library leaving the system up for 3-4 days.
When I reconnected to moode finally the circle near to the M wasn't spinning anymore and disappear. 
So, I don't know if it was something in my library that now I have fixed or the long time I left the system up, but now the issue is disappeared.
