Sup fellow mooders.
I've been using Moode on a raspberry pi for almost 2 years now and loving it. It all started when I got a schitt modius, my first big boy DAC, and I had a pi lying around that I used as a signal generator for Calman Autocal for those of you in the display calibration space
. At that time my listening was roughly evenly split 50/50 between my (modest) local NAS and YouTube Music. I never had any allegiance to any other music streaming service and basically had no reason for another since I pay for YouTube Premium (which includes YTM), no questions. I started off with Volumio and while I enjoyed it a lot, I remember hitting the paywall and not feeling it was worth it. So in stepped Moode and there's been no looking back.
I mainly use BubbleUPNP on my android phone to play music from my NAS. I ended up getting a year of Qobuz and loved being able to play that through Bubble as well. Recently I got onto someone's Spotify family plan so I no longer Qobuz, and I have the Spotify Connect thing set up with Moode (unfortunate that I have to switch out of Bubble to the Spotify App in order to use that).
Current Setup:
Moode on RPi 4 streamer
Schitt Modius DAC
Schitt Magni 3 Amp
Senn HD6xx
BubbleUPNP/Spotify apps on android phone as remote controller
