I just created this account, but I've been using Moode for 2+ years and some other pi based audio solution before (I don't remember which 
).
In terms of setup, I've a Pi 3B with a Behringer UCA202 as soundcard, connected via SPDIF to my Marantz PM6006 amp/dac, who finally drives my Triangle Titus Ez speakers. It's pretty impressive what audio quality the budget raspberry + cheap behringer can deliver.
In terms of source, it's mainly my home NAS via SMB, and then Spotify.
