PeppyMeter auto-start
#1
Hi,

I successfully installed PeppyMeter on moOde player (version 9.30) following this github tutorial:
https://github.com/FdeAlexa/PeppyMeter_and_moOde

The meters work but I have problems with the auto start option which is described here:
https://github.com/FdeAlexa/PeppyMeter_a...o_start.md

I am suppost to do the following settings which I cannot find in my moOde player version:

At the moOde UI: go to
Code:
Menu /
Configure /
System Config /
Local Services

then set Metadata file to
Code:
ON

and click on
Code:
SET

Can anybody help me where to find those or how to activate the auto startup of PeppyMeter ?
Thanks from Singapore
Bjoern

Hi, I installed the PeppyMeter and when I use the following command for testing they show up corrctly and the arrows will follow the music:
Code:
cd /home/pi/PeppyMeter
DISPLAY=:0 python peppymeter.py

This is true for Spotify as well !

However then I installed the auto start feature for peppymeter:
https://github.com/FdeAlexa/PeppyMeter_a...o_start.md

And I have the following two issues:
1. The meters activate correctly while playing RADIO, but the arrows always show zero only.
2. The meters dont get activated while playing SPOTIFY at all.

When I try the same command line from the top i get the meters active and working.

I tried many settings in the GUI but couldnt make it any better.
i am using the latest moOde version

OK I did the entire installation one more time and testing every step.
The last thing I installed was Spotify.

So basically the moOde player and PeppyMeter works well in auto start function before I install / activate the Spotify renderer.

I tested with web radio and the VU meters show up and show the volume.
When I pause WebRadio they disappear just the way you expect it to happen.

Once I activate Spotify they wont work and I have all sorts of issues.

Can anyone help on that ?

What do you mean by "installed Spotify"? There should be nothing to install, you just turn the option on in the moOde UI.
