Welcome Jan,

I always wish I had the patience for model railways. I love to look at them, but building them escapes me.

That is an amazing layout !
Guessing the underground is a work in progress.

I have always imagined that there would be a RPi lighting controller that would simulate outdoor conditions...cloud, mist, fog, sunrise, sunset etc so as to trick the eye and dispense with the constant lighting from above.

Oh ! welcome !!

Love it that there all those trains waiting in the marshalling yard under the layout for their few minutes in the sun. All controlled with a Raspberry Pi too? Great stuff.

Wow so cool !  Will have to investigate...
Somewhere I have the software rail controller and desktop hardware... bought on a whim as too cheap...and found a Linux version but I have had so many projects since that it has fallen by the wayside.

I am going out to the workshop (aka the big pile of fun) tomorrow to see what it was/is and if I can make it work again.
