Upcoming moOde 9.3.6
#1
Information
Here are WIP release notes for upcoming moOde 9.3.6

This release includes a significant bug fix to CamillaDSP Quick config (the dropdown list on main playback screen) and a new OSDISK folder that eventually will replace the SDCARD folder. The reason for the generic "OSDISK" is that more people are using an NVMe disk as the boot disk.

Code:
################################################################################
#
# 2025-MM-DD moOde 9.3.6 (Bookworm)
#
################################################################################

New
- NEW: Add /mnt/OSDISK and corresponding Samba share point (deprecate SDCARD)

Updates
- UPD: Improve Renderer setup guide
- UPD: Improve help for Equalizers section of Audio Config
- UPD: Improve corner radius for main and thumbnail images

Bug fixes
- FIX: Playbar album - artist line not ellipsis limited
- FIX: Random album (Clear/Play) in Playback view briefly shows default cover
- FIX: CamillaDSP Quick config broken when Airplay/Deezer/Spotify on

When we'll reach 9.4.0 I'll take a day off from work in the dairy and do some test... :-)
The ONLY concern I have is the missing possibility to use "square pixel" format on the local RPi 7'' display. Other than that I can see that a lot of improvements have been made.
I DO hate to see circles that are not proper circles; and squares that are not proper squares...

Maybe we could develop a CSS meant to address these issues, and load it ONLY if the chosen local display is the 7'' v1.0, what do you think, @Tim Curtis ?

I'm not sure whether CSS can patch the non-square pixels issue. It's not on my TODO list but someone else might be interested.

Personally, I'd just upgrade to the infinitely better Touch 2.

Defining width AND height of the square images, together with the volume / elapsed time gauges can be done with CSS.
I do agree that a new display could make things easier, but I love tinkering around... I could easily take this on my shoulders, and I'll most probably do. Delivery time might be another thing, though...

Keep in mind that everything including text characters and icons is elongated :-0

Characters / text do not make a big deal; while circles and squares do.. you may agree.

good morning guys,
@Tim Curtis would you consider adding this radio station (Minimalmix)? I think it would be a good addition.
cheers

If you are posting a link to the dedicated "add a radio station" thread, then the best thing to do is wait.

good morning,

because stations posted there might be added anyway? I didnt know. That's great. In (one of) the last "upcoming" threads radio stations were pitched that way so I thought that's "how it's done". I'm sorry if you feel like I impaired this thread and thank you for your suggestion.
Have a nice day everybody.

The thread itself allows for new stations to get added; the thing is: it's not going to happen at a fingersnap.
And you can always add them yourself if in a hurry; the interface for adding a new station is straightforward.
Shall you encounter any stopper, post a thread in the support section.
